Brazil's Vale Iron-Ore Output Slides 0.8% in 2012 Feb 1st 2013, 17:09 Brazilian mining giant Vale SA (VALE, VALE5.BR) saw its iron ore production decline 0.8% last year from 2011, to 319.96 million metric tons, as a pickup in fourth-quarter output wasn't enough to make up for setbacks earlier in 2012.
